Love at first site?
Describe your first experience with the Web.
How fitting for the today, Valentines Day! Yes, you could call it love at first sight. The first time I used the web was sometime around spring 1996. I heard that the downtown public library had Internet connections so I had to try it out. I asked the librarian how to get started and he showed me how to use it. I remember he showed me where to type in the URL, explained hyperlinks, and how to use the navigation bar. I was off and running. I'd go back as often as I could to use it. Eventually I started using the web at San Antonio College for email and general surfing. My parents got their internet connection the summer of 1997.
